Humanity left the cradle. Naive and optimistic, they found a cruel universe. In the end, humanity was the cruelest of all. Those civilizations that would not be subjugated were purged. Left to squabble among themselves, humans became slothful and decadent.
None were prepared for the coming of the Dahak. Known by many names, their arrival always meant death. Their conquest certain.
In an unprecedented act of strategy and selflessness, the Emperor himself baited the trap. The ether of hyperspace was ignited and torn asunder. The Dahak fleet was destroyed, but their mindless drones remained entrenched on countless worlds.
